GONZALEZ, Enrico “Rico” Gumersindo 51, passed away on November 24, 2016. Rico graduated from King High School, was awarded a baseball scholarship and excelled at Central Florida Community College. He was accepted into FSU, where he earned his Bachelors graduating Magna Cum Laude, while competing as a member of the Seminoles Baseball team. GONZALEZ, Enrico “Rico” Gumersindo 51, passed away on November 24, 2016. Rico graduated from King High School, was awarded a baseball scholarship and excelled at Central Florida Community College. He was accepted into FSU, where he earned his Bachelors graduating Magna Cum Laude, while competing as a member of the Seminoles Baseball team. Mr. Gonzalez, who went on to earn his Juris Doctorate at FSU, is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years and high school sweetheart, Lisa; his children, Lena and Enrico Araceli “Rico”; his parents Enrique “Henry” and Dorothy Gonzalez and his sister Lola Stein (Andy). Rico will also be sorely missed by his nieces (Lauren, Mackenzie), nephew (Robbie), Aunts Kathy Betancourt and Loretta Allewelt; extended family, friends and his dog Buster.



Rico will be fondly remembered by all who knew, respected and loved him for his unrelenting passion for faith, family, friends, cars, food and sports at all levels, especially his ‘Noles. Enrico “Rico” Gonzalez was a remarkable man.



Funeral Mass will be Wednesday Nov. 30, 2016 10:30 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 PM at Blount & Curry Terrace Oaks Chapel. Scripture Service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday evening. Burial will be at Centro Asturiano Memorial Park.



In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Enrico G. Gonzalez Endowment for Law Review, where as a student he proudly contributed to a better understanding of the laws of his beloved state of Florida.
