Condolence & Memory Journal

Dear Carolyn & Family,

Mark was on Facebook and called me last Sun. to let me know about the passing of Doug.

I am so very sorry for your loss. As you all know, he was very special to Dana, as well as all of you and considered him to be his "Dad". I hope they are sharing good memories together now that they are reunited.

Love,
Barb

Carolyn, Jacki, Sherri, and Cristal:

I have not seen your husband and father since our high school graduation but we were a small class and closely knit. I kept track of classmates through emails & reunions. I remember Doug playing basketball and being class president. He was well liked by everyone and always had a positive upbeat attitude.
May God give you comfort in your time of grief.

My thoughts and prayer are with you.

I met Doug in 1989 while working for GTE.
He was a very special friend to me for 25 years.
He was like a 2nd father to me.
We bowled on the same team for Many year's.
I will miss my Good Friend, but I will see you someday in the Big Bowling Alley upstairs.

What can I say about Doug other than he was a wonderful person all around and if he was in your life you were greatly blessed. I will miss playing UNO for hours with him and Hank and all the fun names we used to call each other especially when he called me Fat Back and how we would greet each other with that from then on. Now my dad has his bowling partner back. Prayers and love to his family.

RIP Doug, you will be missed. I will remember the UNO games and keep practicing my skills when we meet again. I also won't forget Golden Corral that we always had to go at 4 pm for the lunch price but get dinner. Thoughts and prayers for Carolyn and your Daughters at this difficult time.
